Welcome to Rawgland, our independent record label based in Pretoria, Gauteng.
Founded in 2014, we are a 100% black-owned label, focused on providing a platform for upcoming artists, musicians, producers, and beatmakers.
We’re passionate about music and believe every artist deserves a chance to showcase their talent regardless of their background.
With our years of experience and expertise, we help to cultivate budding artists, giving them the support they need to thrive.

We use tools such as equalizers, compression, Multi-band Expansion, etc… to give it focus, space, and interest. Having good tonal balance is essential so it plays back consistently on a wide variety of listening environments.

Mastering can make the difference between your tracks sounding professional and polished, or lacking lustre and sounding flat, dull or otherwise not ready for release. Mastering is the process where stereo files of the final mixes are tweaked with dynamics and equalization adjustments to finish them off and ready them for production.

As an independent label, distributor and publisher, it is of utmost importance to be registered with collection societies like SAMRO, CAPASSO, RISA, SAMPRA and their connected subsidiaries to ensure proper management of copyrights and royalties.

From a simple street cipher on the corners of Kempton Park, through the parks and later at home in the yard. The place become our music home and Rawgland emerged.

Lupa Afrika Production, known for their tech and progressive house and the man Lupa Afrika behind the wheel, started working with RawgSheq the Deejay on two songs. One was released under Lupa Afrika Production and was titled "Out of time" which is available at Beatport.

This gospel and jazz infusion, is built with multiple guitar melodies which he played himself. To learn more about this mix of African heritages of how we praise God, he used both Lingala and Swahili to deliver this message.
