From: Boipatong, Gauteng (RSA)

RawgSheq (real name: Mokgalatladi Kanye) is a professional dj who perfected his dj skills at Soul Candi Institute of Music. He is a producer and performing artist, a rapper and actor as well as a songwriter.

He was mentored by the late “Rowick Deep” Stevens of Multi-Racial Records in music production.

He was born in Sebokeng, Vereeniging, south of Gauteng but grew up in Boipatong. This is where the love for music developed.

During this term, learning about music production and business was key as he spent most of his spare time at PMT Recording studios learning from veterans of the business.

He then started working in Pretoria in 2000 as an Information Technology specialist, then later an IT Manager and all this while developing his skills in music.

He released his first single, “Lost in Space” on 28 October 2015 and soon followed with an EP album titled “Make Me Feel” in November 2016 which can be found on iTunes and other leading online stores including our shop.
